Scripture readings: 1 Samuel 17:41-51, Matthew 17:14-21
We reflect on one of the most famous stories in the Bible: David and Goliath. Among a broad range of significant lessons that can be learned from this classic story, I focus on Swedenborgian interpretation of the battle between David and Goliath (or in a broader term the age long struggle between Israelites vs. Philistines): they symbolize two forces that are at war within our mind, truth and falsity.
