Rev. Dr. Devin Zuber, assistant minister

Rev. Dr. Devin Zuber teaches at the Center for Swedenborgian Studies in Berkeley, California, where he holds the George F. Dole Professorship in Swedenborgian Studies. He has lectured and published widely on how Swedenborg influenced the history of American environmental thought. An ordained minister in the Swedenborgian Church of North America, when he’s not reading or gardening, Devin enjoys spending time on the California coast with his family (partner Suzanne, their two girls, and a floofy Goldendoodle named Louie).

Dana Owens, operations manager

Dana has been with the Swedenborgian Church since 2012 and very much enjoys working behind the scenes to keep the church running smoothly. Though Dana studied Journalism in college and still writes in her free time, she has happily become something of a “Jack of all trades” within the church and an expert in the management and organization of small businesses.

Dana can be reached during church office hours from 10 am – 6 pm, Monday through Friday at office@sfswedenborgian.org or 415-346-6466.

Heather Garland, music coordinator

Mezzo-soprano Heather Garland, the music coordinator and resident soloist at the San Francisco Swedenborgian Church, is an artist, actor, writer, and full-time chaser of significance living in San Francisco, with roots in the rivers of Ohio and the mountains of Appalachia. Heather grew up steeped in her parents’ music ministry, but only started pursuing her own musicianship and spiritual service a few years ago when, in 2015, she left her career as a Bay Area fine dining sommelier to study voice in her father’s studio in East Tennessee.
