Scripture readings: Genesis 1:1-5, John1:1-14
When we are faced with negative things from outside of ourselves, and the darkness from within, do we try to use light to gain a sense of balance? Clarity? What does it look like to face our own Shadow? Swedenborg and Carl Jung both discussed the importance of transformation in this life, how might their words help us navigate dark times? Do modern movies, like Star Wars: The Last Jedi, inspire us to achieve balance?
Colin Amato M.S., is a second-year Swedenborgian seminary student attending Pacific School of Religion and The Center for Swedenborgian Studies. Colin is also an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist and is working on becoming a licensed psychotherapist. Colin brings his interest in religion, literature, and psychology to all of his work.
